I'm currently organising a corporate film day for top consultancy company. The delegates get to film their own James Bond movie! We provide all the filming equipment and props etc. It's been fun trying to locate unusual costumes and props for them to use (silver teeth, Blowfeld outfits, white furry cats.......you get the gist!)
Before filming commences we will be giving a 40 minute acting workshop. I recall my first film acting role 21 years ago - it was in a US mini series called Wild Justice/ Covert Assassin starring the late Roy Scheider (yes him from Jaws). I played his British PA and my first line was, "Peter, it's the Baron," referring to a phone call I was taking. I delivered the line and the director shouted, "Cut!" He came up to me and said, "Ruby, Roy isn't standing on the other side of Wembley Arena." It was a lesson learnt. So the first tip I will be giving my delegates in the workshop is, "Keep it real."
PS. Just so you know, I've kept it real ever since.......well apart from the odd comedy line in The Grimley's such as, "Ooh I do enjoy a nice juicy sausage!"
